He was ordained in 2007 and, in 2015, earned a PhD from the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome. Father Salar has been a professor at the Eastern Pontifical Institute in Rome as well as the Pontifical College of Babylon for Philosophy and Theology in Iraq.
